Reasons Why We’re Excited About The X Factor’s Return This Weekend

Sharon Osbourne Is Back:

Sharon Osbourne left the judging panel in 2007, after a serious rift with fellow judge Danni Minogue. She is replacing Tulisa, after her boring judging performance next to ‘shamazing’ Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon will no doubt bring back that feistiness and infectious laughter that we missed!

Those Bad Performances:

While we love seeing true talent emerge on the show, we love watching those awful, what were they thinking, highly entertaining performances.

Louis Walsh:

The Mayo man has been a permanent fixture on the show since it began in 2004. He announced that this series will be the last, so let us take a moment to mourn him. How we’ll miss his clapping like a seal. And only Louis would put through acts like Jedward to the live shows.

The Return of the Audition Room:

Simon Cowell aimed to completely revamp the show this year. So what does he do? Auditionees will have to perform in an intimate setting in a room with just the four judges. Wait? Hasn’t this been done before? Yes. On the first six seasons. If they get through, then they’ll perform in front of an audience in front an arena. Just like the last three. Clever.

Dermot O’Leary:

‘Your Saturday night starts right here!’ We just love Dermot. We’d enter the X Factor just to get one of his commiseration hugs after we fail spectacularly.

The Mysterious Fifth Judge:

The X Factor’s Twitter page has teased us with ‘Fifth Judge?’ Is Simon coming back? Will the viewers get a say earlier than the live shows? Could a chimp be joining the judging panel? We just do not know!

The Entertainer:

Let’s be honest. The live shows can be a bit boring and monotonous with the good singers who just stand there week after week. But each year there is one act that doesn’t have the best voice, but entertains us week after week with their on stage performances.
